Brightening smiles with professional teeth whitening treatments
We have patients come in and don’t like the shading of their teeth. Want to change the way the teeth may look great, they just aren’t quite happy. They’re not wide enough for them or they’re not light enough in their opinion.
So what are the options for me as far as changing the shading of my teeth? And so bleaching or whitening is a way that we do that. We have a couple of different ways that we offer that in the office. We use a product called Glow Whitening that’s an in-office whitening system.
It’s much, much stronger than what we would send them home with. So they come into the office and we use a mouthpiece that has a light on it with the bleach in an office session that takes about an hour, hour and a half. And we can change the shade of the teeth, probably three to four shades in that hour and a half lighter.
That lighted mouthpiece then goes home with the patient with a different strength of bleach that they’re able to use at home over the next couple of weeks to continue to lighten the shade of the teeth. And so in that process, we can lighten the shading of the teeth a very, very good bit. And then over time, because the patients take that kit home with them, anytime the shading starts to maybe get a little bit darker than what they’re comfortable with or what they want, they’re able to just use that, you know, periodically to touch that up and maintain the lighter shade of the teeth.
