Oral Surgery Is Often the Key to Immediate Pain Relief
Through oral surgery we’re able to remove teeth that are hurting patients oftentimes. We see patients in pain all the time. We’re obviously, our goal is to save people’s teeth. We don’t necessarily want to remove teeth if we don’t have to. But oftentimes, that’s the only option. There are a lot of times when a patient comes in, a tooth’s abscessed or it’s broken in such a way that you just can’t really justify spending the money to fix it. You might be able to fix it, but it probably is not going to last you for very long.
In those scenarios, really the only thing left to do is to remove the tooth. We do that on a regular basis here. We do a routine extraction, surgical extractions, you name it, and it’s a great service to provide. I mean, it really does alleviate pain immediately for patients. We try to do that. Like I said, if a patient calls in pain, we try to get them in the office. If they have a tooth that just has to be extracted, if there’s any way at all that we can take that tooth out for the patient that day and get them out of pain, we’re going to do that. Oral surgery’s the answer sometimes to getting patients out of pain immediately.
