Get to Know Your New Athens Dental Team
All of us here at East Limestone Family Dental look forward to meeting you! In the meantime, you can find out more about us here.

Diane joined our team in 2016, the same year she entered the dental field. She will be completing the Alabama Dental Hygiene Program in 2020. As a dental assistant, she loves the feeling patients get when they are happy with their smiles. Her extra time is spent watching her 16-year-old son drag race and her 12-year-old daughter play softball.

Lisa came to East Limestone Family Dental in 2019 and began working in dentistry in 1984. She has certifications in dental assisting, in CPR, and with the Scheduling Institute’s 5 Star Challenge. Her training includes Charlene White’s orthodontic seminars and OSHA. She loves getting to know each patient here and making them feel loved and appreciated. Outside of work, she can be found trying new breakfast restaurants, going to the beach, crafting, reading, working out, and watching any college sporting event.

Melinda joined our dental family in 2017, but her dental experience goes back to 1985. She is certified in soft tissue management from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and has taken courses in oral pathology and oral cancer, regeneration and implants, and forensics in dentistry. She loves making people feel at ease and discussing any aspect of dentistry that will improve their oral health. She has been blessed with two beautiful daughters and looks forward to becoming a grandmother later this year. Away from the office, she likes to spend time with family, go on vacations, walk her dog, and work out at the gym.

Micki began working with the East Limestone Family Dental team in 2010 and in dentistry a decade before that. She received her dental hygiene license in 2014 and has taken at least 12 hours of continuing education every year since. Her favorite part of being a hygienist is her work family and taking care of our patients. Away from the office, she enjoys spending time with her family, riding horses, and rooting for the Atlanta Braves and Alabama football.

Riley started working here in 2016 and began her dental career the year before. She completed the University of Alabama Dental Hygiene Program in 2019. Her favorite part of her job is creating relationships with our patients. The people she meets, treats, and works with make being a hygienist so fun! When she’s not caring for our patients, she enjoys spending time with her family, running, and playing with her dog, Milo.

Selena came to work here in 2019 but started her dental career 15 years before that. She is certified in medical billing and coding, phlebotomy, and CPR and has received certification by the Scheduling Institute. Some of her continuing education includes courses on Invisalign, oral conscious sedation, medical billing and coding, and various insurance and clerical duties. What she likes most about dentistry is helping our patients get the greatest benefits from their insurance while improving their smiles. When she’s not doing that, you’ll likely find her traveling with her husband and two kids, watching her daughter dance, watching her son play football, or shopping.
